CAROLYN HATEFI, Office Manager

I have found that life is an adventure. Through our journey of life we learn and develop many skills. These skills are then used and sharpened on our next adventure. It is an honor to be able to bring the skills I have to the development of the Springfield Academy of Arts and Academics. I have worked in many areas of Education during the past 16 years. I have been a Financial Manager, an Office Manager and a Teacher. I have worked with Kindergarteners to 12th graders. I have been involved in numerous committees through the years, most of them as a volunteer. Each committee worked toward the benefit of the students we served. I have been involved in Policy Council with Head Start as well as a member of the School Board at a local small school. I have helped students plan for their future and gave them the tools they needed to succeed in what they have chosen. I presently administer all the state testing and manage the CIM program at Thurston High School.

I am very excited A3 is going to be a part of the Springfield Community. Through my years in education, I have seen a definite need for a school that reaches out and teaches the way A3 will. I have spoken to numerous students and parents who are so excited for this school to open. I have chosen to become a part of A3 because I love to help students reach beyond what they thought they could accomplish. I love the looks on their faces when they have grasped a concept and succeed. We need to invest all we can in our future generations and I see A3 as a way to teach and sharpen the skills the students need to succeed in their own adventure called life.
