THEATRE: Acting Theory into Practice
Students will explore classic acting techniques like Sense Memory & Effective Memory exercises created by Strasburg, and the key acting principles established by Stanislavski. We’ll also practice the more contemporary theories developed by Don Richardson, from “The Practical Handbook for the Actor” by students from NYU, and by Anne Bogart. Finally, students will gain experience in emotional relevance and control with a week-long course in Rasa Boxes. Students will use scene work to explore these concepts.
